The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Tulane University in New Orleans seeks highly motivated students with an interest in pursuing graduate studies in planetary science. Research topics include, but are not limited to, analysis of the polar ice deposits on Mars and ancient terrains on Venus. Students will use multiple orbital datasets to analyze the geomorphology and surfaces properties of terrestrial planetary bodies. Student support is available starting January 2019. Experience analyzing remote sensing datasets using Geographical Information Systems (e.g., ArcGIS) is highly desirable.
